With the Starter package, you can:

With the Safe and Sound package, you can:
- Get not only standard alarms if smoke or carbon monoxide is detected, but also audible voice warnings if smoke or carbon monoxide levels begin to rise.
- Exit your house safely in the even of an alarm. Your Nest detector turns your lights on in the event of an alarm to allow your family to exit safely.
- Get regular reports from your Nest detector to let you know it's working properly, or if something needs to be addressed.
- Program your Nest smart thermostat or simply let it learn your patterns and program itself. Use voice control to set temperature. In the event of a fire, the Nest thermostat communicates with your Nest Protect sensor to shut off your furnace to keep smoke or fire from spreading.
- Get a flood alert if your Honeywell flood/freeze detector senses water. Installed near a sump pump, it can warn you about a pump failure before you discover a flood. Also get reports about temperature and humidity levels to your smart phone.
