Andrew Roudny,

Andrew Roudny,
Certified Master Electrician and Director of Operations
Andrew was born in Prague, grew up in Mississauga, and settled in Peterborough, where he founded Glenforest Electric. Andrew’s electrical and home automation expertise is widely known, and he has worked as an instructor at both Fleming and Durham colleges in the Schools of Skilled Trades and Renewable Technology.
He also has a degree in Computer Science and Economics, with experience managing the entire country-wide paging network maintenance system for Rogers Wireless – a background that comes in handy for the continuous innovations in the home automation industry.
When Andrew isn’t planning projects and leading his team of experienced electricians, he likes to work on his vintage go-kart project and tends goal in local mens hockey leagues. He shares his passion for sports by coaching his son’s hockey and baseball teams. And he's also a huge Formula 1 fan. Be sure to ask Andrew about his prized possession – a custom Senna goalie mask.

Taryn Roudny, Business Manager
Taryn was born and raised in Kingston, Ontario, and as the daughter of a restaurant owner, grew up around food and hospitality. She graduated from the University of Waterloo with a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish and Latin American Studies and lived in both Spain and Costa Rica for a time. After a few years in the GTA, she and husband Andrew found their way to Peterborough.
These days, Taryn runs the business side of Glenforest Electric – on a typical day you’ll find her taking client calls, handling bookkeeping and invoicing, catering our meetings and training sessions, and managing all our social media, marketing and advertising.
When she’s not working for Glenforest Electric, Taryn is an Independent Travel Advisor. Her forte is creating customized itineraries for adventurous travellers, as well as finding amazing cruise journeys. When she has spare time she prioritizes travel with her family, health and wellness pursuits and she’s an excellent cook.

Andrew and Taryn believe strongly in being good neighbours. Peterborough and the Kawarthas have been incredibly welcoming to us and we couldn’t be happier to live in such a beautiful area. We find immense pride in supporting the community we live and work in, through the following organizations:
